Internal (Dartmouth-Based) Fellowships

  • Honors Thesis Grant funds up to $2,500 is available for grants to cover the costs of senior honors thesis research.
  • Leave Term Grants of up to $5,200 is available for full-time leave term research.
  • Neukom Scholars Program supports undergraduate research across the campus. This program seeks to fund third or fourth-year students engaged in faculty-advised research in the development of novel computational techniques as well as the application of computational methods to problems in the Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities, and the Arts. Awards are $1,000/term for 1 or 2 terms.
  • Frank Funds administered through the Art History Department and used to facilitate student research while on campus or while traveling nationally or internationally. For information consult a faculty member of the department.   
  • Sophomore and Junior Research Scholars provide opportunities for students to experience research first-hand by working with Dartmouth faculty in part-time paid research assistantships. This funding is limited to one research project, with a Dartmouth faculty mentor, conducted for one or two terms.
  • Conference Travel Awards come in two types.
  • Presidential Scholars Program (The James O. Freedman Presidential Scholars program) provides opportunities for students to experience research first-hand by working with Dartmouth faculty in part-time, paid research assistantships.
  • Senior Fellowships involve projects for which the intellectual scope and breadth of imagination goes beyond that which can be accomplished by taking courses offered in the existing curriculum.
  • Stamps Scholars Program, a two-year program that provides resources for students to fully engage in a series of active learning activities that contribute to and complement their coursework.
  • Dartmouth Library Fellowships, for current students and recent graduates to explore different careers in libraries and gain practical experience.
