Requirements include:

1. Usually an M.A. in art history as well as an MLS

2. Knowledge of foreign languages often is necessary

3. Some research skills covering a wide range of art-related topics

4. Some to maximum involvement with people

5. Good communication and writing skills

6. Excellent administration/management skills

7. Some computer and image technology skills (increasingly important)

8. Attention to detail

1. B.A. or M.A. in art history; MLS becoming more necessary

2. Knowledge of foreign languages may be necessary

3. Some involvement with people

4. Knowledge of computer programs for slide libraries and some familiarity with the issues concerning image digitization

5. Knowledge of basic photographic techniques for the production of scans and images

6. Openness to technology and technological change

7. Attention to detail
